LIPSTICK | Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Longwear Lipstick in Got Peach?

Not sure if the creative director/designer for Too Faced copy this design directly, but it's VERY similar. The Too Faced cap is plastic and a lot lower quality compared to the Tatcha, which justifies the price difference for me, but I love how they smell like peaches but not like the eyeshadow that's more artificial

I will say, I think the Too Faced formula is better if you like matte lipsticks, because it wasn't dry at all.

I may have found a way to make non waterproof mascara work

If you just do one coat from the base and keep working at the tips with the mascara, you might be able to get away with a less straight curl (it still makes my lashes a little straight but not so much it's completely straight)

I'm not wowed by this mascara, but I understand why people really like it. It gives good volume and decent length, but it is not smudge proof unfortunately - I think drugstore mascaras are just as good, like my favorite Maybelline one (review here).

The mini size was only $12 for 0.17 oz / 4.8 g

This is what I mean about smudging a few hours in. Actually it's not as bad as I thought but it gets annoying sometimes

Ok I may or may not be buying way too many lip products. Idk why it's hard for me to resist compared to other products

Verdict

I was really excited about this lip gloss (along with the eyeshadow palette) since it's a new release. But the quality of the lip gloss is really mediocre. Granted, I'm not into lip gloss as I once was, but this isn't very shiny, doesn't apply evenly and the peach fragrance is WAY too artificial.

Price

$19 for 0.14 / 4 ml

Not that I would ever use up a lip gloss anyway, but 4 ml seems less than your typical lip gloss (I wanna say they're usually 8-10 ml)

Would I recommend it?

No.

Would I repurchase?

No.

I won't be swatching the palette (or eyeshadow palettes in general) as Temptalia (link here) does an amazing job. I will say that the peach fragrance is a bit disappointing, it's very artificial :/ I was expecting fresh peaches.

Too Faced Set From HSN

I've been eye-ing this palette since April, or whenever I started watching Kathleen Lights, and finally got it after seeing the deal on HSN (found out via nouveaucheap, link here)

It ended up being $42 after tax, and the palette itself is $49 (with the Sephora 20% off it'd be the same price as this set, so I basically got the blush and lipstick for free!)

A little shimmery for my taste, but pretty cute

I'm kind of impressed by the packaging here, it has a good weight

A brown plum shade, pretty for fall

Verdict

The mascara itself has a thin, wet formula so it doesn't really do much if you only use the mascara. The fibers are ok. I took this off after like 15 minutes of wearing it, it's very uncomfortable.

For the work you have to do it's better to use a regular mascara, like the Maybelline Lash Sensational waterproof (review here), which is my new favorite.

I saw a review by Beauty Broadcast that after several uses the fibers kind of get stuck in the mascara so it doesn't work as well. All in all a flawed product, maybe I'll try a regular mascara that claims to have fibers in it instead.

Unless you have naturally perfect lashes, false lashes probably still look better.

Verdict

This is the first lip plumper I've ever tried, it was a gift so I thought I'd try it out.

It says the tingling sensation only lasts 5 minutes, but you can still keep feeling it after about 10 minutes, but it eventually dulls down. I've never had much interest in lip plumpers because I never thought my lips were super thin, but I do like how my lips look if they're fuller.

However, since I am out of my phase of wearing lip glosses, so this will probably not be used often unless I want full lips one day.

No.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, if you like the plumped lip effect
