Kiko Unlimited Double Touch in 103 

Not sure if anyone is familiar with the brand Kiko Cosmetics, I heard about it a few years ago when my cousin in China asked me to purchase a few items for her. It is an Italian brand that is currently sold at Ulta and while the packaging isn't my forte, it seems like the quality and price of their product is reasonable. I am not sure if it's sold in stores but you can get it on the Ulta website. I don't shop at Ulta too often, so I don't have status to get free shipping for everything, so I had to order some extra stuff with this to get the $35 free shipping.

103 is another lip color I found on Little Red Book (they have some strong marketing power on there mostly by bloggers or people who aren't famous, sometimes a color or item can blow up and you see thousands of people posting about it). 

This shade is shown as a glossy translucent everyday lip that doesn't smudge. I was never into these double sided lip products, but I am impressed by how the color literally doesn't move. After you apply the base color and let it dry/set, you can apply the gloss and basically the color is good to go for a while until you eat something super oily.

While this is nothing new, I don't think the drugstore brands that have this type of lippie come out with a ton of colors that are "rave worthy". I may now have to try the CoverGirl, Revlon and other brands that still product this double sided lip combo.

If you apply it the Chinese way, they blend out the edges and something color in or out the lip line for a contouring effect (example below). I personally am not skilled enough to apply my lippies a certain way yet.

This is apparently a dupe for the Chanel 154 which I have also recently purchased and can do a comparison once I have it in my hand. My boyfriend doesn't like smudgy lipsticks so this may be a good option when I see him.

The doe foot applicator doesn't carry too much product so you don't accidentally get too much product near your lip line. I likeeee

The lip gloss is a little sheer and not that shiny for my taste. But it's not sticky which is nice.

But this is how the lipstick looks. It's a little dark/cool toned mauve for my taste, but most importantly this Maybelline liquid lip is really dry -_- my lips feel raw after

Idk if you can tell but I think it makes my lips very textured, almost too much so.

The wear of this product is no joke. Unfortunately, all the color are too unnatural for my taste. This nude is too light, and the other colors are too bright or too dark. The packaging is actually pretty cute, if they expanded the range I would try a different color

I'm back with another color!

After the pink one I was a bit discouraged from this line, but when I went to Walmart to return it, I saw the Walmart I went to had full stock of every color. I chose a neutral one so even if  I don't love it I could probably give it to a friend. This color is a bit of a paler pink nude, on my complexion, but it pairs well if a darker eye look

This is a bit darker than I imagined, it looks more like a pink nude online, but it's definitely an appropriate color for fall

It's not super long wearing but it is very comfortable

I am a sucker for inexpensive products that perform better than some higher end products out there

I first heard about this from Tati on Youtube, but at the time the colors I wanted were constantly sold out at Target and even on the WnW website. After a few weeks I finally got my hands on these

At $5 for 0.21 oz / 6 g, these are the cheapest liquid lipsticks I've seen

Even ColourPop is $6 for 0.11 oz / 3.2 g (which is 1/2 the product of the WnW, FYI)

They are fragrance free, long wearing with pretty good pigmentation. They are a little drying but I think that's the price you pay for a long lasting lip. It cracks a little bit if you don't apply it correctly or apply too much, but play around with it and it's easy to work with. 

I personally like Nudist Peach bc it's more neutral and peachy. Coral Corruption is a much brighter, coral pink. If you see these at Target and you're into liquid lips, I HIGHLY recommend this.

Verdict

I really wanted a long lasting festive color. As you can kind of tell, it's a bit drying on the lips, but the lasting power is amazing! The lip balm makes the color shiny, so if you prefer the satin look you can leave the lipstick by itself, but it does look slightly dry.

Even after eating it doesn't really budge, I have to use extra makeup remover to remove it.

Verdict

I only bought this on Black Friday to try the formula, bc the colors he offers are not really my style. Gemini is a neutral mauve, which I will actually wear, but as you can tell it looks darker on my face than in the lip swatch above. I am pleasantly surprised at the formula, it's better than the Kat Von D Everlasting one (review here) and clearly better than the NYX Lingerie (review here). I'm not particularly attracted to the pink packaging, but I definitely want to try more colors when I see ones I like.

Verdict

Even though the applicator is weird, it never crossed my mind to return this. My roommate complimented me on this lippie, so I've been wearing it quite often. Since Touch of Spice is so similar, I'll probably use Touch of Spice after I run out of this. I'd love to try other formulas in this color - the Kat Von D Lolita I and II seem similar but a bit too brown?

The formula is nice, but the applicator is too hard to use.

The price point is good if you can get around the applicator
