I'm just going to stop saying that I won't buy anything, b.c it never works out. *sigh*
But of course, when Wet `n Wild went on a BOGOF at Rite Aid this week, I had to get
The Color Icon palettes, everyone loves these and I'm sure they won't disappoint. I actually wanted the new matte lipsticks as well but they were out of stock of the 2 that I actually wanted (the 2 lightest shades that I would actually wear, go figure)
Also, at Walgreens I got the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Pink Chic, on a 40% off sale with a $1 off coupon from Red Plum which I'm not super excited about, b.c I got the Spotlight Beige for ~$0.85 cheaper at a previous sale in June.
I actually kind of want to get the Exaggerate eyeliner that I've been hearing quite a bit about as well (since I have another coupon), but then I remember that I have various other pencil eyeliners that I haven't used in a while, because gel/cream just works better for me; hmm.
At CVS, Neutrogena's suncare went on sale for $7.99 this week, and I had a $1 off coupon from their ExtraCare rewards. I actually returned the Aveeno one I got at Target which I wrote about in the previous post, and idk if you guys have heard of this; I heard this 1st on bebexo's summer favorites video
Oxybenzone is a common ingredient in sunblocks, Neutrogena's Sheer Dry Touch sunblock has it, as do the Aveeno one. It's one of the active ingredients, and I would suggest just checking your ingredients before using it b.c it could do more damage than good.
How ironic isn't it? Protecting us from the sun while "attacking" our DNA strands? (read the wiki info if you've no idea what I'm talking about)
Anyhow, the sensitive skin one has Titanium Dioxide & Zinc Oxide, which is more natural (you might've seen these ingredients in mineral makeup). There's mixed review about this those b.c apparently it's very thick and leaves a white cast. At least it's not greasy like my Banana Boat one...
I'm sorry for writing so much about one thing, but I think that the whole sunblock/sunscreen campaign is going a little too far; I recently read in a magazine about laundry detergent with SPF.... Really now? We've lived all these years without SPF in our clothes, I think we can do without it.
At Ulta, I got the Merlot Exfoliating Scrub; I have to say that Merlot's packaging isn't very intriguing, but this was on clearance and claims to prevent breakouts, so I thought I'd give it a try. And it is all natural after all.
At Target, I got the Up & Up dupe of the Olay moisturizer for normal skin, SPF 15. I'm thinking of taking it back though b.c it has a very VERY strong fragrance when I smelled it. Bleh...
That's it, like I said very long post but ... I think it's rather informative.
Till next time :)
