DRUGSTORE | New Revlon and Almay Makeup

Volumnizing mascara
Eyeshadow (maybe new colors?)
Eyeliner - there's a ballpoint pen that I don't consider a clever concept, reminds me of the old Maybelline eyeliner that I bought (review here)
Antiaging primer, concealer, foundation
Tubing mascarar
If I wore blush I would totally get some, unfortunately I don't really wear a lot of face products outside of BB cream and powder.
I got darker on my trip in New Orleans (we were outside basically all day. Despite the overcast I still got darker) so I purchased a darker color in the Revlon Youth FX foundation.
I've used it a few times and I like it a lot! It's very silicone-y but has good coverage and blends out very nicely. Will post photos soon

The mascara is a tubing mascara according to the advertisement. Unfortunately, my thin, long lashes just don't do well with nonwaterproof mascaras. It seemed to not smudge much on my smudge prone eye area though, so if you don't have a problem with your lashes staying curled, the mascara might be pretty good

New Releases at CVS and Walgreens

I don't know if any of you remember, but Max Factor was discontinued in the US in... I want to say 2009? I was so surprised to see it in Walgreens today. Nothing super unique bc they always seem to have the same packaging as CoverGirl, which is also cheaper. So...

Everybody's coming out with clay masks these days, I would love to try these if I didn't already have like 3 that I'm not close to using up

I was REALLY tempted to get the Baby Lips Glow Balm... But I know Target sells it for $3.49

Garner Whole Blends haircare. I was super tempted by the mint and apple scent as well... But I have too many hair products.

I always want to try new things but then remember all the things I already have >_< #hoarderproblems

REVIEW | Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eyeliner in Black Vinyl

11 hours later

Pros
Long wearing

Cons
Not super pigmented
Doesn't seem to apply very evenly
Kind of drags on my lid

Price
$8 for 0.058 oz / 1.7 ml

Verdict
Rating: C
Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of hard tips that drag and poke my eyelid. This liner isn't really pigmented either, I must prefer the L'Oreal Lineur Intense brush tip (review here). The wear was good on my oily lids, and it removes in flakes like a lot of waterproof liquid liners.
I personally prefer brush tips or the pen liquid liners, if you like this kind of felt tip this might be good for you.

Repurchase?
No.

Would I recommend it?
No.

REVIEW (Acne) | La Roche Posay Effaclar Acne System

Pros
Not super drying
Incorporates LHA and glycolic acid

Cons
Didn't make a huge difference in my skin

Price
$30 for the set at Target
$15 for the cleanser (6.76 oz / 200 ml)

Verdict
The original set comes with a 4.2 oz cleanser, I had used it up and purchased the full size at Target.
If you've been following my BB cream or foundation reviews (the most recent here), you'll notice I still have a lot of acne & mostly acne scars in the before photos. My acne mainly stems from hormonal imbalance (I think) and diet so skincare could only help so much. I really enjoyed the cleanser from this set, it seemed to clean my pores more than most acne cleansers I've tried. I recommended it to a close friend and she says it seems to clean her skin really well too. There's no moisturizer in this set, which I think is kind of weird because the common consensus seems to be that oily skinned gals still need moisturizing, but maybe our natural oils will suffice.

I don't care for the toner and the acne treatment as much, it didn't seem to make a significant difference in my skin. Recently I haven't been really using acne treatments, but rather an oronine H ointment my friend had gifted me saying it helps with her acne and scarring. I've been using it for 2 weeks so the verdict is still pending.

Update 12/2015 after repurchasing the cleanser and using it every night, I feel like it doesn't clean my pores as much as it used to. I did hear that it's good to switch up your skincare every 3 months so your skin doesn't get used to it (and for seasonal changes of course), but when I first began using it made my pores look really clean.

Repurchase?
Just the cleanser.

Would I recommend it?
Yes. But I notice that it makes my skin a bit red, so it might be slightly harsh. Definite not calming in the morning so I use it mostly at night
