I've finally caught onto the liquid lip trend. The ColourPop ones don't impress me as much, but I have been looking at drugstore options

Verdict

Even though the applicator is weird, it never crossed my mind to return this. My roommate complimented me on this lippie, so I've been wearing it quite often. Since Touch of Spice is so similar, I'll probably use Touch of Spice after I run out of this. I'd love to try other formulas in this color - the Kat Von D Lolita I and II seem similar but a bit too brown?

Repurchase?

The formula is nice, but the applicator is too hard to use.

Would I recommend it?

The price point is good if you can get around the applicator

Verdict

I purchased this mascara after seeing it on a blog for tubing mascaras, a formula that wraps around your lashes and is supposed to come off in flakes rather than smudges. Having had problems with mascara smudging for as long as I can remember, I decided to give this a try. As you can tell from the photo, it is very lengthening, but if you have thin, straight lashes like me, it weights your lashes down like no other, ruins the curl which defeats the purpose of mascara if you can't see your lashes up front.

The mascara formula itself seems dry, or maybe the brush doesn't pick up very much product.

I recurled my lashes after application, which I hate to do since my lashes stick to the eyelash curler a bit.

Because this isn't waterproof, it does wash off easily with warm water in the form of flakes, which is less tedious than massaging my lashes with cleansing oil when I have to remove waterproof mascaras.

If you don't have straight, thin eyelashes, this mascara might be good for you. Otherwise stick to waterproof mascaras.

I got this for free in a Target kit that a cosmetic specialist gave me one day a couple weeks ago, I never saw a salesperson in the specifically for the cosmetic aisle again, I could only assume it wasn't as effective as Target had hoped. I've owned NYX lipsticks before and they've always been consistently creamy and pigmented, the only flaw is the wear of the lipsticks. Although I've learned that the reality of lip products is if it's drier, it stays. If it's creamy and moisturizing, then it'll wipe away easily. 

Pure Nude would've been great back in... 2008 or 2009? When nude lips were all the rave. Most people are into bright lips or dark colors now from what I've seen.

This is a cute color if you're into nudes, I think it washes me out too much unless I'm wearing a smokey eye.

Repurchase?

Probably not. Lipstick takes too long to use up

Would I recommend it?

Not in particular, this line of NYX lipsticks isn't very long wearing, but there's a large color selection if you're willing to reapply

REVIEW | NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz

As you can tell it kind of settles in your lip line, not noticeable in real life when you aren't this up close. I recommend exfoliating and moisturizing your lips the previous night

Verdict

This color's kind of a baby pink, not peachy at all (then again NYX isn't known for their accurate color names). The formula of these liquid lipsticks usually tend to be pretty good, and this one's no exception. For the price I do recommend trying any other colors from this line.

For my complexion, Nude Peach Fuzz a little too cool toned that I feel weird wearing it, but if you're into the baby pinks definitely give this a try.

Review: NYX HD High Definition Eyeshadow Base

I used a relatively sheer shadow here, Sally Girl in Teal

It's a little hard to tell but there is definitely a line at my crease from the eyeshadow, some of the color has faded as well... But my eyeliner didn't smudge.

Pros

- Makes color more vibrant

- Not drying (as UDPP can sometimes be)

Cons

- Not super crease resistant

Verdict

Excuse the different lighting, I really couldn't get daylight at like 10 PM.

I feel like some brands are taking the HD concept a little too far, I don't really see how this eyeshadow primer would help your eyeshadow look better in HD. 

However, this is a good eyeshadow primer for daily wear, if you have really oily eyelids you might have some creasing like I did at the end of the night. That is tolerable for me considering that I've yet to try something that didn't crease at all.

Maybe, I think by the time I've used this up they probably came out with something better.

Verdict

With all the hype about the NYX eyeshadow pencils, I think the NYX Jumbo lip pencils are pretty good too. This shade isn't ideal for me anymore since I'm out of the frosty light pinks, but they do have some nice colors. I'm hoping the cream finishes will look better on the lips than the frosty finish does.

I have only tried the Rimmel lip liner so I don't know how similar this is to lip liners in general, but the idea is a hybrid between lip liner and lipstick.

Would I recommend this?

Not this color.

I don't think red's do well in this type of texture, it's too creamy and going over the same area with lipstick makes the color unevne

Sorry about the inconsistent lighting, I took these pictures on different days so I don't have to waste the lipstick or makeup remover.

The color in the pictures are generally accurate, except for Strawberry Milk which is more pink than lavender in real life.

Pros:

- No scent / odor

- Large color selection

Cons:

- Made in China

- Swatches online and on the bottom of the lipstick are sometimes misleading

- Kind of hard to find in drugstores

Verdict:

At the inexpensive price, I do recommend it because they are good lipsticks.

After trying Black Cherry (cream), I can safely say that I can't pull off a dark red.

Thalia (cream) is supposedly a dupe of Rimmel Lasting Finish in Airy Fairy, but Airy Fairy is a more complex color.

Strawberry Milk (cream) is a cool-toned pale pink, looks a bit lavender in the picture.

Harmonica (frost) is a frosty light pink.

Orange Soda (cream) is a dupe of Revlon Nude Attitude

I thought I'd like Strawberry Milk the best but it seems that Harmonica is more flattering on me.

Verdict:

I definitely recommend this if you're into lip gloss.

The slant-tip applicator sometimes apply too much gloss for my taste, but the quality is excellent, very pigmented and shiny.
