Laura Mercier mascara

I finally got my package from Laura Mercier (from Black Friday)
Along with it came a mascara sample of their volumnizing formula

As you can see, my thin lashes fall straight with a nonwaterproof mascara
But it doesn't seem to add much to my lashes anyway, unlike the Lancome Grandiose (review here)

I'm really excited to try the LM translucent powder though
And the LM Souffle Body Cremes are actually very moisturizing, I've been using it as hand cream, they're so cute too!

SAMPLE | Elta MD Tinted UV SPF46 Facial Sunscreen

Pros
Helps with redness
Not drying
Good for acne prone skin

Neutral
SPF 46

Cons
Doesn't help with pores

Price
$34 for 1.7 oz / 50 ml

Verdict
I am almost out of my Cotz tinted SPF40 (review here) and while Cotz is great for oil control and minimizes my pores, it is a bit drying for me now when my skin is on benzoyl peroxide. My dermatologist had recommended the Elta MD untinted SPF to me previously but I wasn't super impressed by the sample (mainly bc my skin would still be really greasy a few hours in). Now that my skin is more adjusted to the benzoyl peroxide, I might try the clear version of this.

However, I noticed the Cotz still is better for oil control if I'm going to be out all day and won't really have time to think about blotting.

Edit: This might've given me two little spots after using it. I haven't really used anything different so... I guess I won't be getting the full size

Purchase?
No.

Would I recommend it?
If you have acne prone skin, this brand of sunscreen seems very popular. And the fact my dermatologist said she loved it gives me a bit of reassurance

SAMPLE REVIEW | Smashbox BB cream SPF 35

Pros
Decent coverage
Nice glow to the skin
SPF 35

Cons
Rubs off on clothes
Not long lasting

Price
$39 for 1 oz / 30 ml

Verdict
I've been on a tinted moisturizer kick lately because I wanted glowing natural skin and just spot conceal the really dark spots. I basically tried all the tinted moisturizers with SPF 20+ at Sephora. The salesperson who helped me strongly suggested this one, but good thing I sampled it first. Unfortunately it makes my skin oily throughout the day and rubs off on clothing, even if I set it with powder.

Do you like American BB creams and tinted moisturizers? Let me know.
I always thought tinted moisturizers didn't give much coverage but I really like the natural glowy look it gives.

Purchase?
No.

Would I recommend it?
If you have drier skin, yes.
