Peter Thomas Roth x Hello Kitty

Hope I'm not overloading Hello Kitty on you guys
But my dad came back with a lot of goodies from my cousins, among them is the skincare set that's China exclusive (maybe Asia?)
Left to right
Rose Repair Precious Cream ($75 at Sephora USA)
Rose Repair Cleansing Gel ($38 at Sephora USA)
Rose Repair Balancing Essence Water - I couldn't find this on the Sephora US website, must be available in Asia... Or it's discontinued here?

I was super excited to have this
Except I realized that they basically put a Hello Kitty sticker on their normally sold products... Something I could've easily done with the regular rose line from Sephora (see below) for like $50 less! The import tax in China is crazy, plus Sephora goes on sale for 20% off here.

Will report back with a review, but the repair cream looks promising

ColourPop x Hello Kitty Eyeshadow Quad

Rainbow | Friendship File | Small Gift | School Bus

Rainbow: Glitter sheer finish white with highlights of silver and pink glitter
Friendship File: Metallic finish warm peachy beige dusted with silver and pink glitter
Small Gift: Pearlized finish mid-tone peachy pink
School Bus: Pearlized finish deep navy blue

I've reviewed the ColourPop eyeshadows previously as well (link here)
The texture is very creamy, and they seem to swatch well but when you actually blend it out on your eye, the pigmentation is kind of not there. The creamy texture is definitely easier to apply with your fingers, but there's also less precision in that application.
Most of the shimmer colors are still very pretty even if it's sheer, but I would definitely use an eye primer.

Rainbow is definitely my least favorite, the glitter is just white (not "rainbow" at all)
The other colors are cute. I can see myself using Friendship File and Small Gift the most

Is this worth the money?
Ehhhh. Only because I love Hello Kitty. But ColourPop is pretty affordable

ColourPop x Hello Kitty Lippies

Tiny Chum

Konichiwa

I've reviewed ColourPop's lippies before (liquid lip here and lippie stix here)
I've never been super impressed to be honest, but I love Hello Kitty so I had to get something. These seemed to be the most wearable colors in the line since I'm not a fan of fuchsia lips. The color coordination in this collection isn't well thought out in my opinion, the lippies are a little to cool toned to pair w the slightly warmer shadows.

I'm not super impressed by the color selection, but the formula seems to have improved? It looks a lot less dry on my lips now.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend these colors unless you love Hello Kitty like I do

  • Butterfly Bush Extract - Native Chinese shrub with beautiful flowers provides photo-protective activity
  • Water Resistant (80 Minutes)

Helps prevent sunburn.  If used as directed with other sun protection measures (see warnings), decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun.

Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide 4.5% (Sunscreen), Zinc Oxide 4% (Sunscreen)

Inactive Ingredients: Acrylates/C12-22 Alkyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Artemisia Princeps Extract (Yomogi), Buddleja Davidii Extract (Butterfly Bush), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ceteareth-20, Cetyl Alcohol, Dibutyl Adipate, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Hexyl Laurate, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Methylcellulose, Methylisothiazolinone, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Propylene Glycol, Stearyl Alcohol, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Water, Xanthan Gum, May Contain Citric Acid, May Contain Sodium Hydroxide

Pros
Mineral sunscreen = Better for sensitive skin
Fragrance free

Cons
Strong white cast
Very hard to spread on face

Price
$8 for 3 oz / 88 ml

Verdict
I love any useful Hello Kitty products, but this one went back to the store. The sunscreen was impossible to spread on my face (although, on my hand it seemed ok) and took some effort to blend in. The "extracts" it claims to have definitely add nothing to the texture if they do anything at all.
It might be an ok body sunscreen if your skin is moisturized with a slippery lotion, but there are way better facial sunscreens out there.
Mineral sunscreens are supposed to be better for sensitive skin since the physical active ingredients block the sun rays instead of absorbing them (as chemical active ingredients do), something to keep in mind when you shop for sunscreens. My favorite mineral sunscreen is the Cotz SPF 40 (review here) due to its oil controlling qualities.

Repurchase?
No.

Would I recommend it?
No.

Hello Kitty mascara

Purple: Volumnizing
Pink: Lengthening

Unfortunately the purple tube broke when it fell on wooden floor from a relatively high surface, so I was unable to bring it back t othe states

Unfortunately, this isn't readily available in the states, but I bought this a while ago and forgot about it, tried it and it actually is pretty decent for a non-waterproof mascara.
If you travel to Asia, be sure to go into Watsons because they have a decent selection of skincare and some makeup (with the exception of maybe Mainland China, there were only a few makeup brands there)

Random Haul (Butter London, K-Palette, Hello Kitty, Minions!)

Butter London Backstage Basics ($24 from Nordstrom)
I've always wanted to try Butter London, and I had a Nordstrom giftcard. I didn't know it came with an actual nail polish, will post soon

K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Lash Perm ($18 at Asian Beauty store)
Tried this once already... Disappointed and it was expensive -_-
K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo brow pencil in Greyish Brown ($7.50)
I like this so far, but brow pencils last me forever anyway, I thought the color was unique. If I find this in China I will be very disappointed that I paid the higher price

I've been kind of shopping for my trip to China to go study abroad, and of course I found cute Hello Kitty things and decided to buy them...
Quilted PVC bag ($65 retail, $49 on sale)
Neck pillow ($19.50)

I don't know if Coach outlets are around everywhere, but I went to one recently and found these little wallets. They're so cute!
$24.50 on "sale," not that cheap but I like how small it is with your ID on the back

Calvin Klein leather Prelia flats in Mint ($49 on sale)
Of course I couldn't resist this color. I need to stop buying these stretchy flats though, they're rather uncomfortable if you wear them for long

I love Minions! They're adorable.
Poster ($5 from Walmart)
Bandaid ($4? from Walmart)
