FOUNDATION | Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation

Watery texture
But less watery than the MUFE Water Blend (review here) when you apply it to the skin
Light, natural coverage - def higher coverage than the MUFE Water Blend
The coverage is pretty natural, excuse that random piece of eyelash near my nose
As you can tell my pores are pretty big, this foundation hides them a little bit even without primer

I think this is pretty moisturizing, at the end of the day there's foundations that will make my skin look really dry, but this one seems ok

Pump packaging

All in all, I do like this foundation. I thought it was amazing the first time I used it, but afterwards it was ok. I'm not a huge liquid foundation girl even though I like to try them because my skin gets so oily by the end of the day, powder foundations just work better for me. I mostly got this because it was on the Costco website for $45 but it retails for $62 for 1 oz / 30 ml

FOUNDATION | Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation

After 12 hours

Pros
Lightweight
Good color selection
Natural looking
Photogenic
Inexpensive
Smoothes over pores

Neutral
Medium coverage
Spatula is a bit more sanitary

Cons
Hard to purchase (my color was out of stock for a while on the Wet n Wild website)

Price
$6 for 1 oz

Verdict
If you can find your color, I highly recommend this foundation. I've seen quite a few Youtubers talk about this bc it's so inexpensive but performs so well. I'm not a foundation girl, but if I wanted my skin to look nice and natural that day, I reach for this over all my other foundations. It's not super long wearing for the oily parts of my skin (it starts wearing off around my nose, where it's the most oily) but it does pretty well for the rest of my face.

Repurchase?
Yes. I would always want to have this handy

Would I recommend it?
Yes!

FOUNDATION | Neutrogena Hydroboost Hydrating Tint

Pros
Natural looking
Moisturizing
Doesn't make my combo skin oily

Neutral
Light coverage

Cons
10 skin tone colors
Not cheap

Price
$15+ for 1 oz

Verdict
This feels very much like a moisturizer, but it covers more than tinted moisturizers I've tried. The sponge tip is huge, so it's somewhat sanitary if you wipe the product on the back of your hand. It's not super long wearing but it doesn't make my combination skin greasy looking either. I really like this to cover the redness on my skin, if I follow up with a powder foundation it looks very natural and not too dry like if I only use powder foundation.

As you may or may not be able to tell, when my skin is acting up from something I get the urge to try new foundations. I am plenty satisfied with the MUFE Mat Velvet (review here), but it is a bit matte looking for the type of finish I like these days.

Repurchase?
No. Just bc I've never used up a foundation

Would I recommend it?
Yes.

FOUNDATION | L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow liquid foundation

After 12 hours

Pros
Natural looking
Smoothes over pores
Somewhat sanitary packaging

Cons
Not super long wearing
Not cheap for drugstore
Hard to tell color from the tube

Price
$12+ for 1 oz

Verdict
Quite a few Youtubers recommend this. It looks pretty good when I first apply it, but probably after a few hours when my skin gets oily, if I touch my face by accident it'll come off (even if I set it with powder). It's not especially lightweight to me, but it's not heavy. I'll still wear it when I only need my makeup to stay for a few hours, but I definitely rely on my other foundations to stay on, like the MUFE Mat Velvet (review here). If you're really good at not touching your face, this won't be too bad.
Edit: After using this a few more times after, I wish I could return this. It starts looking cakey on my skin just a few hours in, esp under the eyes. I understand that there is a matte version, but I think good quality foundations wouldn't start looking cakey that early, if anything it just looks oily :/

Would I recommend it?
If you have normal to dry skin

Would I repurchase?
No.

FOUNDATION | Make Up For Ever MUFE Water Blend

Pros
Natural looking
Large bottle
Easy to blend
Good color selection
Lightweight

Neutral
Sheer coverage
Doesn't do anything for my large pores (although it doesn't make it worse, which is always good)

Cons
Expensive
Doesn't help with oily skin

Price
$43 for 1.69 oz

Verdict
The texture's pretty similar to the MUFE Face and Body foundation (review here), kinda watery but easy to blend. The biggest improvement MUFE made with Water Blend is the color selection. My Face and Body was the lightest color they offered that wasn't pink but was way too dark for my complexion.
I'm not really sure if there's much of a difference between the old version and this new version, but it gives a nice sheen to your skin and covers minor redness. As you can tell I have some spots/scars going on so I will have to use concealer if I planned to be photographed that day. But all in all a worthy purchase. I don't really wear foundation but on the days I feel like it, it's a nice pick me up.

I'm not sure why people say this is long wearing. Due to its sheer coverage, I don't really worry about the makeup lifting or something but it definitely doesn't stay looking the same throughout the day.

Repurchase?
If I'm ever going to run out, yes.

Would I recommend it?
Yes!

REVIEW | Guerlain Lingerie de Peau BB cream

BB 2 Light

Pros
Smoothes over pores
Lightweight
Medium coverage
Demi matte finish
SPF 30

Cons
Limited shade range (3 shades)
Expensive

Price
$54 for 40ml / 1.3 oz

Verdict
My coworker purchased the foundation version of Guerlain's Lingerie de Peau saying it's really good. I tend to like BB creams a bit more, so I thought I'd give the BB cream a try. Like a BB cream, it smoothes over my pores and BB 2 Light matches me pretty well. It comes in a pump, which is sanitary but makes the "squeezy" tube a bit useless in my opinion (esp when you can't open it).
But the texture is NOTHING like an Asian BB cream. Asian BB creams tend to be very moisturizing and creamy (like the Skin79 one I like, review here). This is more of a glorified liquid foundation, but it does work well for me. The finish is demi matte, and it wears well even if I don't set it with powder.
Unfortunately I can't tell how much is left since the tube is pretty stiff.
I don't trust SPF in foundations bc you have to apply liberally for it to be effective, but I thought I'd put it in there. This is the first Guerlain product I've tried, maybe if they come out with something really unique I'll take another look at the brand.

I've been liking my skin with no coverup recently since it's mostly old scars, it's really freeing. :)

Repurchase?
Maybe

Would I recommend it?
If you're willing to shell out $54 and the shades match you, I think it's a great foundation.

After 14 hrs, no setting powder/spray and no touch ups - I'm pretty impressed

REVIEW | MUFE (Make Up For Ever) Face and Body foundation

20 Ivory
75% water jelly watery texture

My chin is very dry in this photo - you can see it grabbed onto the flaky skin

Pros
Lightweight texture
Easily blendable
Smoothes over pores
Makes skin look dewy

Cons
Sheer coverage
Limited shade range

Price
$43 for 50 ml / 1.69 oz

Verdict
I heard about this foundation probably 5 years ago from Youtuber GossMakeupArtist and never purchased it because I wasn't willing to shell out $43 for a foundation while I was in university. Recently I purchased 20 Ivory from the last VIB 15% off sale. As you can tell, although the coverage is sheer it makes your skin look a lot better, slightly dewy but not overly so while smoothing over large pores. The watery texture spreads very easily and blends nicely.
Unfortunately, 20 Ivory is the lightest shade and it is a bit too dark for me - I don't know if you can tell, in real life it looks a bit orange on my face. While it is not really detectable to most people, I can see it when I look in the mirror. A lot of people say this is long wearing, but I don't think it is - although it doesn't look bad when your oils start seeping through.

If I have a lot of active acne breakouts I would not reach for this product, as you can see it doesn't cover my blemishes very well; try the MUFE Mat Velvet+ (review here) instead.

Repurchase?
Maybe when there's a lighter shade

Would I recommend it?
Yes, but keep in mind you have to prep your skin well in terms of texture and moisture. Be sure to exfoliate and moisturize well the night before, or it will grab onto your flaky dry skin like most, if not all foundations.

REVIEW | Boots No. 7 Stay Perfect liquid foundation

Thick ish texture

As you can see I am breaking out a bit and I've always had a problem with large pores

Pros
Natural coverage
Covers pores well
Long wearing

Cons
Limited color selection
Not cheap for "drugstore"

Price
$17 for 1 oz

Verdict
Boots No. 7 is a UK brand. As I'm trying more foundations, I noticed the real problem is their color match. I'm pale ish with a slightly yellow undertone, so most foundations are either too pink or too yellow for me. I purchased this foundation per Raeview's recommendation in one of her recent videos, where she says she's really impressed by the texture and quality of this foundation.
If I find a color that matches me I will definitely use it more often.

Repurchase?
No.

Would I recommend it?
Yes, if you find a shade that matches you

REVIEW | Charlotte Tillbury Magic Foundation

In case anyone was wondering why my skin's kind of glowy - natural lighting and Lancome Visionnaire Nuit Beauty Slee Perfector. I'm testing it out and will review soon :)

After 10 hours

These were on another day when I tested the foundation out. The color is a bit orange on me

Pros
Natural looking
Good color selection
Semi-matte finish

Cons
Doesn't really cover my pores
Light to medium coverage - NOT full

Price
$44 for 1 oz

Verdict
I am somewhat disappointed in this foundation. I've been hearing a lot about it and thought it'd be a good medium coverage foundation. Personally, it's more of a light to medium coverage, although the packaging claims it has "full coverage." I like the finish it gives but I expected to be "wowed" by this foundation per everyone's reviews on Youtube. I think this is more for people who already have good skin but just need something to make their skin flawless. I have acne scars and large pores from cystic acne, so I will be returning this foundation. Pretty bottle though

Repurchase?
No.

Would I recommend it?
I am honestly not impressed, I think it may be worth a try but get a sample first.
